Bidart is well served by local buses and has access
from London by bus train and air. Buses arrive at Bayonne the capital of the
Basque region, thirty minutes from the campsite and by air or train direct to

During the season there is a regular open-air disco in the delightful village square, which also hosts traditional Basque dancing and the local sport of
pelota
at regular intervals. Within a short distance there are two nightclubs, with
several more and a casino in Biarritz. Twenty minutes drive in the other
direction takes you to the charming fishing port of St Jean-De-Luz. Here are
held colourful confetti battles, which are very popular with holidaymakers.
Many good restaurants fringe the delightful squares. A little further south
you arrive at the Pyrenees and the Spanish border, a source of cheap spirits
and wines.
